The Hansson Family
About the family
Hotel Terraza is currently owned by three Hansson siblings: Pär, Ola, and Linda. In 2008, they took over from their parents, Pia and Rolf, who started running the hotel back in 1993. In other words, the current owners more or less grew up here. They learned early on where the best hiding places were, which of the serving staff gave them the most ice cream, and how long it took for help to arrive when they pressed the emergency button in the elevator. Today, they have slightly different things to occupy themselves with.
You’ll often find the eldest son, Pär, at the reception desk. Yes, Pär is actually the oldest, even though he is only three minutes older than his twin brother Ola, who was early on appointed as responsible for everything related to numbers.
Linda no longer works actively at the hotel, as in 2019 she went on to win the popular TV program Hela Sverige Bakar (The Great Swedish Bake Off) and has since run the bakery Baket, which is located just a stone’s throw from the hotel.
There is also a younger sister in the sibling group named Frida, she is not a partner but runs her own little Delicatessen shop further down the street.
Running a business is something that suits the Hansson siblings. In addition to the hotel, they have also been involved in a few restaurant businesses, a charter school at the upper secondary level, and a real estate company. And in the summer, they organize large town festivals in both Ljungby and Värnamo.
